The hotel had everything we needed in the basic rooms, but the plastic shower curtain was a downside. The staff seemed uninterested in changing or upgrading. The location was great, overlooking the beach and walking distance to the old town. The dining experience started off well but declined as the week went on. The hotel was not as advertised by Bookings. The room was a bit shabby, and the air conditioning was not working properly. The toilets in the lobby were clean but had a persistent smell. However, the staff members were amazing and kind, always coming to help even if the 'do not disturb' sign was on the door. They were very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. The location was brilliant, close to restaurants and just two minutes from the sea in Calpe, offering lovely sea views. The dining experience was not very warm, without breakfast and with terrible coffee; guests had to go elsewhere for food. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. One positive aspect was that car hire and tours/ticket assistance were available. The hotel was particularly busy, with long queues at various areas. It was very tight with no room for turning easily. The hotel was not ideal.
